In the glass, the wine presents with vibrant yellow and green hues. Intense aromas of pink grapefruit and kiwi are met with a hint of pear and anise, balanced with seductive toasted oak char. Rich flavors of kiwi, lime and grapefruit zest on the palate combine while the toasted qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a full, rich mouthfeel with a subtle creaminess from sur-lie maturation.
A very serious sauvignon with a deep palate of dried apple, lemon and mango with some cream and light vanilla undertones. It’s full-bodied, layered and beautiful on the finish. Like a top dry white from Bordeaux.
A richer, more concentrated, textured white, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate Vineyard has impressive honeyed peach, pineapple and citrus notes as well as medium-bodied richness, a touch of toasty oak, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. It's going to evolve for 2-4 years.
This white opens up fresh and snappy, with a fragrant mix of peach blossom, apricot and citrus zest notes. Gains complexity, with poached apple and Asian pear details, and a supple texture mingled with vibrant acidity on the long finish.
