Chateau Vignelaure La Source Rosé 2018
Grenache (40%)• Cinsault (30%) • Syrah (20%) • Cabernet Sauvignon (10%)
La Source de Vignelaure, AOC Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, is a cuvée with elegance and balance. Compared with Château Vignelaure, the wine is drinkable earlier, both for friendly moments like aperitifs but also alongside light summer fayre.
Vignelaure has a long tradition of producing highly rewardING wines, which are classical, elegant and pure, while at the same time pushing boundaries and concepts of what is possible to achieve.
Pale salmon in colour. Intense nose of fresh, ripe fruit (redcurrant, raspberry, grapefruit). In the mouth, a complete harmony between freshness, acidity and its full-bodied nature. The finish is long, dry and brings to mind summer fruit such as yellow peach and crushed strawberry.
Food and wine pairing : sushi, salmon, prawn, red mullet and tuna steak.
"In homage to its Bordeaux heritage from a previous owner, the wine has Cabernet Sauvignon in the otherwise typical Provence blend. That gives extra structure, as well as adding some red-currant flavors. This second rosé from the estate is ripe, richly endowed and ready to drink. 91 Points."
